YWCA works to transform the lives of women girls and gender diverse people who face systemic violence discrimination and poverty in Toronto by operating: -Housing programs including transitional housing for women and children experiencing homelessness violence against women shelters homeless shelters and permanent affordable and supportive housing -Employment and training programs including immigrant settlement labour access life skills training English language development pre-apprenticeship training and employment services -Early childhood education centre -Leadership training for girls and youth including a subsidized summer camp program -Family support programs such as Teen Moms and Here to Help program for women and gender diverse people who have escaped violence -December 6 Fund which provides interest-free revolving loans to survivors of violence -Case management support services and housing for women and gender diverse people who experience mental health issues and/or substance abuse. A housing program in Parkdale in partnership with Neighbourhood Land Trust to provide permanent and supportive housing for women women-led families and gender diverse people.
