Yukon Bird Club

The club held 27 field trips during 2023 as well as the annual helmut grunberg yukon birdathon and our annual winter potluck dinner and slideshow. We coordinated 9 christmas bird counts in various yukon communities. All our field trips and events continue to be open to the public and free of charge. We published 2 editions of our newsletter the yukon warbler. We maintained and enhanced our website and administered our facebook page twitter account and the yukon birds facebook group. We responded to numerous email queries and requests for information and sent several email updates to our membership. The club began to lead a bird friendly city initiative for whitehorse which will involve the public as well as the city of whitehorse and other governments and ngos.
