1. The national stem fair network comprises 100 ysc-affiliated regional organizations in every province and territory that welcome approximately 25 000 k-12 students annually. In 2024 90 regions held fairs. 2. Canada-wide science fair (cwsf) brings together 400 grade 7-12 youth for a week of networking competition and fun. Cwsf 2024 was held from may 26-31 with 342 projects by 385 ?nalists. 3. Team canada-isef team canada-milset and team canada-eucys provide outstanding young canadian scientists with an opportunity to benchmark their projects against the best in the world. In 2024 8 finalists were selected to team canada- isef. They participated in the regeneron international science & engineering fair (isef) held in los angeles california from may 11-17 winning 7 awards. Two students represented canada at the 2024 european union contest for young scientist (eucys) winning second and third place awards. 4. Smarter science is a framework for teaching and learning science in k-12 featuring professional learning workshops and resources to help teachers introduce inquiry and project-based stem in their classrooms. 5. Mystemspace focuses on developing online and community-based support for youth working on stem projects. In 2024 ysc continued to refine the mystemspace web site and the ysc portal to support the registration of youth at the entry regional and national levels as well as the management of regional stem fairs and the cwsf.
