The Foundation was inactive in 2023 and started its programs in 2024; therefore see below for a description of the Foundation's new programs. The Foundation receives and manages funds for the following purposes: 1. To protect the environment for the benefit of the public by conserving restoring and protecting the ecosystem and biodiversity on a long term basis including foothills rangelands grasslands riparian areas and wetlands that have been damaged or disturbed through ranching activities within the traditional unceded territory and with the consent of the the Stswecem'c Xgat'tem First Nation and in the Cariboo region of British Columbia. 2. To make grants to the Stswecem'c Xgat'tem First Nation for as long as it remains a qualified donee. 3. To make grants to other qualified donees including qualified donees which support or promote the conservation restoration or protection of ecosystems and biodiversity in British Columbia.
