Workers arts and heritage center inc. Is the only national organization dedicated to workers’ history and culture providing gallery space for both historical and contemporary exhibits the performing arts video and film and library and archives. Th goal of the centre is to present labour heritage and culture in an exiting and accessible way. In 1995 wahc purchased the custom house. This magnificent edifice provides the backdrop for the pursuit of the centre’s ideals in a number of ways; though research and development; educational programs; helping union locals and community groups document their histories; and by staging cultural events.
