About Wolfville Baptist Church
WBC conducts weekly religious worship services and provides Bible studies and fellowship groups for its members and adherents. The church oversees and conducts its ministry using paid staff as well as volunteer workers organized in ministry Boards and committees. WBC provides activities to both church and community members in areas such as cooking music choral singing art academic help and English as a Second Language (ESL). The church facilities are used by community-based entities such as Alcoholics Anonymous Overeaters Anonymous and the local Wolfville & Area Food Bank to deliver their services. As of 2023 the Korean church in conjunction with wbc leadership has used our facilities to minister to the local Korean communities. WCB staff provide pastoral and spiritual care; the Board of Deacons administers a limited local-area social assistance ministry to needy families and individuals; the Board of Christian Education provides educational ministries to a full spectrum of age groups in the church; and the Social and Benevolent ministry caters to weddings funerals and other events as needed. Through its Board of Missions the church continues to develop long-standing and recently initiated programs including three from 2021: a reading and food program for disadvantaged children in the local school called Heart for Children; an outreach ministry to children during vacation periods called Messy Science Days; and a ministry focused on building better more positive relations with our local indigenous community. WBC is affiliated with and provides oversight to our local Refugee Support Network (RSN). Originally focused on Syrian refugees initially the RNS was a church-based community ministry conducted through the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada (CBAC) administered by the church in association with the CBAC through community and church volunteers. WBC maintains representation and key involvement in the RSN and acts in a more collaborative basis rath
