Whistler Blackcomb Foundation Society

The whistler blackcomb (wb) foundation society (the 'foundation') is dedicated to the financial support of qualified donees by way of grants in accordance with the income tax act who provide benefit to the residents of the sea to sky corridor with programs in the areas of health/social services education recreation arts and culture and the environment. The foundation obtains funds through general donations and fundraising activities. Fundraising activities for the 2024 fiscal year consisted of the following; 1. 31st annual telus winter classic march 1st & 2nd 2024 on whistler and blackcomb mountains and the fairmont chateau whistler. An online auction was also run as part of the telus winter classic. 2. 29th annual telus golf classic - september 6th 2024 as the fairmont chateau whistler golf club. Online auction also run as part of the telus golf classic. 3. Founder's pass sales in spring/summer/2024. 100 passes in total. Individual purchases of a founder's pass that represented both a donation and purchase of an exclusive limited issue whistler blackcomb mountain 2023/2024 season's ski pass. 4. Environmental fund is a fund set up by whistler blackcomb mountain and its employees. The employees can elect to deduct funds from their payroll and contribute it to the environmental fund and the foundation matches every dollar contributed by employees. In addition clients of wb can donate $1 for any ticket/pass product they purchase with proceeds going to wbf envirofund. Chair sales for decommissioned jersey cream and red chairs from whistler blackcomb mountains.
