Western Canada Wilderness Committee

The wilderness committee continued our work to preserve wilderness protect wildlife defend parks safeguard public resources and fight for a healthy climate. This past year we published and distributed our educational wild canada at-risk species and spaces calendar 6 of our educational newspapers and expert research reports and mapping projects covering national and regional environmental issues. Our field program included trips to at-risk wilderness areas in bc manitoba and ontario and partnership with first nations across the country on critical issues facing the land. We held in-person town halls rallies and marches coupled with online webinars. We ensured key environmental issues got strong coverage in both the traditional and social media and maintained our communications plan to engage and involve the
