West Park Healthcare Centre Foundation

West park healthcare centre foundation (wphcf) has been an integral partner with west park healthcare centre (wphc) for more than four decades. Wphcf has partnered with wphc to expand programs and facilities support clinical research and education and acquire new medical equipment. Wphc has been helping patients live the fullest lives possible since 1904. Founded as a hospital for tuberculosis patients. Wphc has greatly expanded on its role over the years and today provides specialized rehabilitation complex continuing and long-term care services helping individuals manage difficult health challenges like lung disease diabetes stroke amputation and musculoskeletal issues arising from a life-changing event or illness. With a new patient care building at its heart of its campus redevelopment wphc will help ensure the health system can meet the rapidly growing demand for rehabilitative care and support patients to get their lives back. On april 1 2024 wphc voluntarily integrated with university health network (uhn) to expand access to services for our patients. Uhm-wphc's new hospital building will support the expansion of its services in the coming months including: a geriatrics day program; an increase of 17 beds in our inpatient services; a stroke day program; a dialysis unit; an expanding water therapy pool; and doubling our outpatient capacity.
