West Kootenay Regional Arts Council

Act as a resource centre for the regional arts community; promote and amplify the work of Kootenay artists and cultural organizations through social media our monthly newsletter and online searchable event listings; publish and distribute ARTiculate magazine highlighting regional arts culture and heritage; facilitate workshops and other learning opportunities about professional practices for artists and cultural workers; participate in regional committees and conversations related to community cultural development; host the Columbia Basin Culture Tour – a free self-guided opportunity to visit dozens of artist studios museums and heritage sites; and manage the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance which administers grant funding to local artists and organizations. Started the Vibrant Basin podcast to broaden coverage of arts & culture in the Columbia Basin
