Wepress Community Arts Space Society

WePress continued to advance education in methods of print- and art-making by providing free public opportunities in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES) one of the poorest neighbourhoods in Canada with a particular focus on individuals marginalized by systems of class sexuality gender race culture disability mental health addictions and colonization. WePress continued to take the extra efforts and resources required to address accessibility issues and the numerous barriers to art-making that exist for many low-income and marginalized people by providing free equipment materials skills and digital technology.
