Wecan society/wecan society trust is responsible for operations and programming of harcourt house artist run centre in support of artistic endeavors that are essential to the vitality of a healthy community. Harcourt house artist run centre is a viewer friendly forum for the best in canadian and international contemporary visual/new media arts architecture and design. The organization is responsible for the administration of the harcourt house's art galleries along with the presentation of the annual exhibition program art education program art enrichment programs in the community and the annual artist-in-residence program. Wecan society/harcourt house comprises the single largest community of visual arts studios in alberta. By providing 42 affordable studio spaces as well as exhibition and art education facilities the organization created an environment of artistic vibrancy and community spirit that cannot be matched anywhere in western canada and possibly in the whole of the country.
