Since 1976 villa colombo has provided high quality long-term residential care and community services to seniors in a culturally sensitive environment that accrediatation italian heritage. Designated as an ethno-specific facility villa colombo cares for 391 residents in addition to providing services such as meals-on-wheels day programs and supportive housing to over 700 residents still living at home in the community. Villa colombo has been accredited since 1986 by accreditation canada and currently has exemplary status. Villa colombo has been chosen by the registered nurses' association of ontario (rnao) from among health care and academic organizations to become a best pratice spotlight organization to implement and evalute the rnao's best pratice guidelines. This is a dynamic partnership that focuses on making a postive impact on resident care through evidence-based practice.
