Von has been leading home and community care in canada for over a century. We were among the first organizations in the country to offer home care adn public health nursing and today we provide home and community support services to over 10 000 people every day across ontario and nova scotia. We are a highly trusted non-profit charity that works with our clients and their families employees volunteers and community partners to provide innovative clinical personal and social support to people in clinics virtually in congregate settings and in their homes and communities. Our mission is to help people live in their homes and communities by delivering the caring support that they and their families need. Clients receive indicidualized care which might include home nursing the aid of a personal support worker help with meal preparation transportation or home maintenance. Or clients might require ongoing or episodic community nursing to get them through periods of illness or disability. We are leaders and innovators working to increase access to quality care at home and in the community and challenging how and whre care is delivered. Together with our thousands of staff and volunteers we continue to attract and engage support for our work and vision of every life lived to the fullest. Von is comprised of multiple entities including three operating entities (victorian order of nurses for canada - ontario branch and -nova scotia branch). Von continues to develop new and more efficient models of care with our health system partners. This includes new and expanded community nursing clinics. We have also helped to piolt neighbourhood hub models of care that efficiently support multiple seniors living within an identified geographical area to live safely and independently in their own homes.
