1. Monthly talks & presentations about natural history subjects of interest to naturalists such as birds native plants and marine biology. The talks are educational and are open to the public at no charge. 2. Weekly field trips including walks and hikes for members interested in birding botany geology and marine biology. 3. Annual summer camp in alpine areas. 4. Publication of discovery an annual journal which includes articles on natural history subjects. 5. Website and blogs for public education and interaction 6. Nature kids programs to foster an interest in nature in children aged 7-12 7. Publicaiton of 'a birder's guide to vancouver and the lower mainland' a book for local and visiting birders. The guide was published in early 2016 with ongoing sales 8. Weekly newsletter to the membership for organization/program update and nature & environment news/events 9. Flickr photo account to promote and share wildlife and nature photography with the naturalist community 10. Youtube channel to share recorded zoom meetings with guest speakers 11. Socia media accounts for publich outreach and education 12. Organize and steward nature conservation projects
