Vancouver Adapted Music Society

2024 marked the return of VAMS Strong Sessions featuring musicians with disabilities such as Rachael Ransom Simon Paradis Sylvi MacCormac and Kristina Sheldon. The Strong Sessions concert was held on August 25th at the Roundhouse Community Centre and was attended by 65 people. Other concerts in 2024 included an album release show for Rachael Ransom’s debut album 'Sixty Seven Ten ' on November 15th at the Blusson Spinal Cord Injury Centre. Besides concerts the VAMS podcast titled Re-Imagine Radio and hosted on YouTube and Spotify continued throughout 2024 with 30 episodes featuring conversations with 15 interview subjects. In 2024 VAMS also delivered 679 in-person lessons for persons with disabilities at its studio located at GF Strong.
