Vancity Community Foundation

VCF delivers funding and develops charitable programs and projects that contribute to economic inclusion social justice and environmental sustainability. Key program areas include: 1) Providing grants to qualified donees in partnership with donors and other funders supporting a range of community initiatives and organizations addressing social cultural economic and environmental goals. 2) Delivering grants impact investments and/or technical support for non-profit affordable housing development non-profit social enterprise poverty reduction and homelessness prevention and reduction projects. 3) Managing and delivering charitable programs projects and/or collaborative initiatives often in partnership with other funders and partners that: i) facilitate economic environmental and social innovation and inclusion in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside ii) work to address poverty and inequality and to remove barriers to opportunities for equity-deserving groups and iii) aim to build capacity of charities and non-profit organization in areas such as evaluation and impact assessment social enterprise and community economic development environmental sustainability social purpose real estate development and non-profit housing development.
