Our main focus remains education sponsorships and scholarships for orphans and vulnerable children within our catchment areas. Our goal is to see all of our students who are already registered in our programs get to complete their education as far as they are able. We now have several students pursuing a university degree! Providing clean accessible drinking water is another focus for us. In Kenya they say that 'Water is Life' and we agree that wells should be a priority as often as we can afford to do so. Helping to alleviate the ravages of malaria remains high on our priority list. To that end we provide as many mosquito nets each year to as many families as we can afford. We are grateful for our volunteers in Canada as well as in Kenya. We are working on implementing some new guidelines for the maintenance of wells that we are sure will extend the life of the inner workings of each well. We also plan on researching the feasibility of converting some of the existing wells to solar pumps due to the fact that the hand pump mechanism is what often fails and needs repairs. We will continue to concentrate our efforts on the projects that we have identified as having the greatest impact within our mandate to 'support orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya through education nutrition and healthcare'.
