United way central alberta listens to central albertan voices to determine today's needs an partners with citizens community agencies and businesses to address social issues and invest donor dollars into vital programs that support people in need across central alberta. Activities include: - uwca executes an annual fundraising campaign to raise dollars to support community investments to ensure access to basic needs increase access to suitable mental health services and help create brighter futures with new possibilities. - uwca invests in program funding to non-profits delivering programming under these three focus areas as well as project funding and other small grants and delivers its own programming including period promise and partners with other agencies for tools for schools. - uwca connects volunteers to agencies participates and leads community initiatives supports collaborative efforts to address root causes of issues affecting central alberta advocates for and strengthens of social issues and mobilizes networks in times of crisis.
