United Way of Cape Breton County

This past year the united way of cape breton has supported various agencies in cape breton operating a number of programs for cape breton island residents as well as supporting a number of other charitable organizations through designated donations. Two of the significant programs that the united way are receiving funding for revolve around food security and transportation around cape breton. A new program that began in the fiscal year for the united way was the food security program in which the united way received funding to allocate to different organizations located within cape breton to support their programs addressing food security.
