United Way Elgin Middlesex

United way is the largest non-government funder of social services in elgin and middlesex counties. We are committed to creating real lasting change to improve the quality of life of all people in our community. United way identifies and understands the root causes of social issues; brings together research experts and resources; initiates and invests in the most needed and proven programs; and develops leaders and skills to strengthen the non-profit sector. Our efforts focus on three impact areas: poverty healthy communities and strong kids. When able united way provides strategic funding to projects outside of our regular annual funding of social services that aim to address new and emerging issues. Recent initiatives include a scholarship for rural students micro loans for women leaving family violence and housing stability supports for newcomer families. Learn more at unitedwayem.ca
