Ummah society continues to provide religious services and activities including the five daily congregational prayers friday sermon and prayer ramadan and eid prayers quran classes religious lectures marriage services funeral services etc. To the muslim community in nova-scotia; provide early childhood education as well as primary and secondary education based on islamic principles and in accordance with the nova-scotia curriculum; offer community services and activities including counselling matrimonial matchmaking professional and skills development training workshops spiritual and educational programmes and conferences; promote a better understanding of islam through partnering with community organizations and other charities to provide positive space for dialogue and constructive discourse provide free informational resources about islam and conduct seminars and lectures to address islamophobia; empower women youth and vulnerable community members through psychosocial and mental health supports and by providing safe spaces; help alleviate poverty in the muslin community by providing food vouchers clothing and financial assistance to the poor the needy or persons of low income and through participating in national and international emergency relief programmes in food distribution water access emergency medical assistance health centre supports etc. Ummah society also has another mosque in wolfville n.-s. And has purchased a new building in halifax n.-s. To expand and increase the capacity of the current school as well as to include a new community centre. We have also begun offering religiously- and culturally- sensitive counselling services to the community.
