About Trivium Educational Foundation

Our charity continues to deliver hands-on educational experiences by continuing our RC Summer Camp introduced last year which engages children in STEM through the building and racing of remote-control vehicles. The camp emphasizes hands-on learning as participants are taught how to safely and effectively use tools such as screwdrivers soldering irons wire cutters and more. Under careful supervision they gain confidence in mechanical assembly soldering circuits and basic troubleshooting. The program balances technical instruction with creativity as children design and personalize their vehicles and teamwork as they collaborate and compete in races. This initiative instills practical skills confidence and a passion for learning through making. Full Race Car Build – Applied Motorsports Engineering This year our charity launched an ambitious and immersive educational program that guides high school and post-secondary students through the complete design and construction of a real race car. Thanks to the donation of a Pontiac Fiero in fall 2024 participants are now gaining firsthand experience in motorsports engineering fabrication and performance vehicle design. This program emphasizes hands-on skill-based learning across a wide range of technical disciplines. Under the mentorship of experienced volunteers students will learn the fundamentals of automotive systems and be directly involved in all stages of the build. Key learning areas include welding and metalwork (used in the fabrication of a custom roll cage and chassis reinforcements) suspension geometry and setup drivetrain installation and engine building. Students will also gain practical skills in mechanical assembly brake systems steering electrical wiring and cooling systems. Beyond mechanical work participants will explore bodywork and design learning techniques such as fiberglass repair sanding painting and fitment modification. This full-vehicle project provides a unique oppo
