To enable Toronto Botanical Garden's mission vision and values: Mission Toronto Botanical Garden connects people and plants fostering sustainable communities and developing reciprocal relationships with nature through lifelong learning. Vision Toronto Botanical Garden is a garden for all; a diverse community that recognizes the life-giving role of nature working together for a more sustainable world. TBG relies on the support of individuals corporations and foundations. Over 99% of our operating budget is self-generated income through the revenues earned by education programs and courses membership rentals retail operations and special events as well as through the generous support of many donors. We also thank the City of Toronto for its $25 000 annual support along with in-kind support to operate in a city owned building. Toronto Botanical Garden engages over 17 000 learners annually in nature-based programming that connects people to plants and the natural world. And welcomes more than 350 000 visitors a year. Toronto Botanical Garden is re-aligning our efforts to become a purpose-led botanical garden: cultivating a community with a profound connect to nature inspiring impact in our unique ecosystem and beyond. To achieve this the Botanical Garden offers lifelong learning opportunities through educational programs for school groups families youth and adults. We also invite our community to experience nature and the garden through the lens of performing and still arts. Across all programs we invite the community to steward our local ecosystem exploring the indigeneity & biodiversity of our region while gaining a deeper connection to the community through place-based programs.
