About Threshold Housing Society
The Society continues to provide long-term transitional housing for youth ages 16-25 at risk of becoming homeless. Two housing programs are offered based on the ability of the individual to live independently. A Life Skills component helps build self-reliance. The Supportive Recovery program offers round-the-clock supervision to help the youth develop a case plan and personalized steps towards recovery and rebuilding relationships and routines as applicable. The Family and Natural Supports program intervenes early to held build restore or maintain relationships to help prevent homelessness. The Society now offers an Indigenous Wellness program to support Indigenous youth in learning about themselves and their culture and reconnecting them to Indigenous communities which is crucial to their long term success.
