Operates the silk purse a multi-use facility in west vancouver used for art exhibitions workshops concerts and special events. Curates and installs art exhibitions at the kay meek arts centre. Supports local artists and musicians through the presentation of annual exhibitions and concert series: on-going classical concert series; summer jazz waves; rising start. Community engagement programs include: creative voices first thursdays art walk in partnership with local galleries and singing by the sea. Present an annual collaborative community art project commissioning a local artist to design build and install an innovative and interactive temporary public art piece that will live outdoors near the silk purse for the month of august. Public participation is encouraged during weekend art stations. Supports the north shore culture compass a free online map and navigational tool that visualizes the cultural offerings on the north shore. Development of a public art walk map for west vancouver.
