About The Well Ministries
The purposes of the Church are: a)To preach and advance the teachings of the Christian faith and the religious tenets doctrines observances and culture associated with that faith. b) To establish maintain and support a house of worship with services conducted in accordance with the tenets and doctrines of the Christian faith. c)To support and maintain missions and missionaries in order to propagate the Christian faith. One component of fulfilling these objects is the weekly Sunday morning public worship services which comprise of worship music and singing to God followed by either scriptural reading and discussion or a sermon delivered by a Minister based on a portion of the Holy Bible to educate and encourage individuals to apply the scriptural principles to life. Such principles include establishing a relationship with God growing in that relationship love of fellow man forgiveness and trusting the scriptural promises of God. Prayer and communal gathering are also key components of weekly services. In addition to the Sunday worship services similar midweek programs are available periodically. In addition described below are weekly and/or special events tailored for different age or interest groups. The Well Ministries has a specialized focus on Youth Services. Youth that identifies with TWM will be able to take part in the Sunday worship gatherings but the tailored youth programs aimed at connecting with the youth in the Blind River and surrounding communities will be carried out on a regular weekly basis. At the TWM location a youth center is open after school hours 5 times a week. This is a community connection activity where TWM leaders and trained volunteers can connect with youth. It is a place for youth to 'hang out' have a snack and do homework to establish connections and rapport and also consists of skill-building workshops and discussion groups.
