About The STEMite Zone Fair

The STEMite Zone Fair continues to focus on empowering young innovators in underserved communities across Nigeria and Africa fostering a culture of creativity problem-solving and STEM education. Our programs this fiscal period include: The STEMite Zone Fair Objective: Organize Africa's largest Science Fair bringing together students from public and private schools across Nigeria to showcase innovative projects. Activities: Coordinated participation of 100 schools facilitating 500+ student projects in categories such as discovery innovation and experimentation. Impact: Engaged over 80 volunteers who contributed thousands of hours to mentor students coordinate logistics and manage events fostering hands-on learning opportunities for youth. STEMite Fellowship Program Objective: Provide mentorship training and resources to top-performing students from the Science Fair developing their projects to scalable levels. Activities: Matched students with coaches and peer mentors facilitated hands-on entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial training and included a two-week to one-month internship opportunity with partner organizations. Impact: Strengthened leadership and technical skills in students preparing them to represent Nigeria on the global stage such as at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in the United States. Innovation Challenge Objective: Inspire Senior Secondary School students to develop novel technology-driven solutions to African-specific challenges such as access to power water logistics and agriculture. Activities: Facilitated project submissions evaluations by qualified panelists and provided structured feedback to students. Impact: Cultivated original thinking and scientific methodology in students while aligning with Africa’s unique socio-economic needs. Volunteer Contributions Contributions: Over 20 dedicated volunteers assisted in planning mentoring and facilitating these programs contributing countless hours
