The Steinbach Arts Council Incorporated

The steinbach arts council continues to offer a variety of programming in the community including arts education (visual arts wellness community performing and literary arts) and live concert series. Ongoing programs include arts fro totos preschool program backyard theatre company summer arts day camps and spring break camps and group and individual music instruction in piano strings and voice. Fusion musical theatre and steinbach youth chorus for ages 9-14. Visual arts programs include mediums in acrylics oils clay cartooning calligraphy pottery photography and digital medial arts paint nights. Creative wellness classes include: dance (hip hop and ballet) palates cooking belly dance and german french and spanish language programs. We are working to incorporate more local theatre in our programming and have established partnerships with local theatre collectives. We continue to strengthen the indiginous program to include more workshops focusing on indigenous artforms. We have built our programming to include a trained music therapy class for ages 0-5 and individual music therapy instruction for all ages. We have included technology in the developed new digital formats for almost all our clases. The after school art program focuses on exposure opportunities for school-aged children in many arts disciplines. We work with about 150 volunteers nearly 900 hours - they assist with administrative and office tasks work on site at concerts and events and with projects associated within our arts centre.
