The saskatchewan craft council (scc) invites and connects the world to experience excellence in saskatchewan craft. It is a membership non-profit organization dedicated to supporting contemporary craft artists and the creation and marketing of saskatchewan contemporary craft. It connect craft lovers to craft artists. Its ongoing programs include: a public gallery showcasing six exhibitions of contemporary craft; the scc fine craft boutique; dimensions canada's longest running juried craft exhibition and gala awards; artist talks; artist and public workshops; professional development experiences; school tours; communication vehicles such as talking craft and saskcreate; website with online exhibitions; jurying standards to ensure excellence in fine craft; and additional showcasing events such as home styles art now nuit blanch and culture days . Volunteers act as board and committee members and assist in carrying out important programs and providing direction to the organization. It works in partnership with: saskatchewan and canadian arts organizations; indigenous curatorial committee; canadian crafts federation; alberta craft council; craft ontario; it provide exhibitions to smaller galleries located in saskatchewan and other parts of canada as well as consultation services to filmmakers and other organizations who wish to connect to craft artists.
