The organization’s mandate is to bring together leading academics governments agencies charities ngo’s and industry to create a transformational environment for priority areas in child and youth health in canada. The focus is on injury prevention mental health issues obesity and nutrition disabilities and the effect of the environment on child development. The organization undertakes an annual conference which focuses on current health issues for canadian youth. The sandbox project has created the sandbox impact program to further our collaborative efforts for child and youth health and well-being in canada and is also engaged in some international knowledge mobilization efforts to share best practices more broadly.
