The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada Vancouver Centre

In 2024 we continued to deliver on our mission to advance education in astronomy and allied sciences by providing presentations lectures and outreach programs in british columbia in general and the vancouver area in paricular. We held public presentations in-person while also broadcasting them online. We were involved in 40 public events included presenting 12 free astronomy public lectures and 2 public astronomy education classes and participating in 7 public events organized by other organizations. Our members regularly volunteered with telescopes at 19 public starry night events at the sfu observatory on clear friday nights. We also organized astronomy activities for members.
