Providing access to arts and culture for communities facing barriers furthers our commitment to building a more inclusive community. The rooms offers free admission to help expand access and reach new audiences including communities facing barriers to visit. Free admission is offered to all visitors on the first wednesday of each month between 6-9 pm; for students every friday; for newfoundland labrador public library card holders through the nlpl connect pass; and new canadian residents and citizens receive free admission for one year through the canoo new residents and citizenship experience program. Approximately 106 volunteers assisted the rooms with delivering public and education programs during fiscal 2023-24. The art gallery produced 12 exhibitions during 2023-24 and hosted two exhibitions produced by other galleries including the exhibition kim morgan: blood and breath skin and dust organized and circulated by dalhousie art gallery (halifax ns) curator and conceptual collaborator: susan gibson garvey. Double vision: jessie oonark janet kigusiuq victoria mamnguqsualuk developed program of the department of canadian heritage project partner: toronto biennial of art. The museum produced 8 exhibitions for display at the rooms and two exhibitions for display at the rooms regional museums. One pop-up exhibit was also produced and displayed at the rooms during 2023-24.
