The Push for Change Foundation

Ongoing program & focus: The Promise Project Contest which includes curriculum developed by our partners at Raising the Roof and a comprehensive toolkit developed by The Push for Change and the Ontario Provincial Police. The Promise Project Contest is a stand-alone project whereby teams of youth pick an area of social injustice (they are passionate about) related to 'youth at risk' of homelessness in their school or community and implement a team project that proposes to solve this injustice. Teams then have a chance to submit their project to a panel of judges for a chance to win a monetary donation toward a registered charity of their choice. This project enables community awareness of youth homelessness and engages youth to create solutions to prevent it. During fiscal year 2019-2020 this program was built and promoted with a first submission end date of August 2020. Fiscal year ending June 15 2024 is our 4th year administering the program to youth Canada-wide. No new programs.
