We advance mental health with Canadian families by empowering them with coping mechanisms and the tools to thrive amidst life's challenges. We accomplish this by using psychological science to develop and deliver programs and resources to teach infants children and youth and their supportive key adult stakeholders proactive coping skills to positively manage their mental health. Our focus includes three key pillars of mental health promotion: (1) Attachment (2) Stress Management (3) Resilience Building Our attachment-based parenting program Make the Connection supports and promotes building a strong parent/caregiver attachment to their baby which is critical to healthy brain development . Our stress management programs and resources Kids Have Stress Too! Stress Lessons Stress Busters and Zen Garden app help children and youth to understand and identify stress the effects of stress on the body and brain and to gain strategies to manage their stress effectively. Our resilience building program and resources ThriveLandia and Resilience Quiz help children and youth to build skills associated with resilience. We have three new program extensions to our stress management programs and resources: Stress Coach ChatBot Peer2Peer and StressLess which empower youth and key adult caregivers respectively with the skills to support and manage youths stress.
