Publishes journal 'photographic canadiana' 4 times yearly and are reestablishing the society's newsletter after the pandemic. Holds lectures and presentation 10 times yearly on subjects related to history of photography with a canadian emphasis. Provides grants and awards for research on historical photography and photographic history with a canadian emphasis. Maintains a public website: phsc.ca. Answers public inquiries on photographic topics. Working with universary libraries and public archives to improve their holdings of images and photographically-related items by providing grants and donating historical materials. Maintaining a presence on social media streams using short articles and images on historical aspects of photography.
