The Period Purse

The Period Purse strives to achieve menstrual equity by providing people who menstruate with access to free menstrual products and to reduce the stigma surrounding periods through public education and advocacy. The Period Purse strives to achieve menstrual equity by providing people who menstruate with access to free menstrual products and to reduce the stigma surrounding periods through public education and advocacy. In this past year we continued to provide free menstrual products in schools libraries food banks and shelters. In addition we also provided virtual educational sessions to the community. We also continued our work with the Indigenous communities and began work on creating a magazine on periods to be translated into Mohawk and designed by the Indigenous community. This magazine will be distributed amongst the community to reduce the stigma of periods.
