In 2022/2023 PMR commenced the development of Phase II Part II Interpretive Plan This work includes developing the thematic framework and conducting associated research; creating a programming plan; and establishing a supporting operations and staffing plan. This work will carry over into the 2023/2024 fiscal year as PMR raises funds to complete the work. As part of the Interpretive Plan in 2024/25 PMR will launch The Other Hill initiative to bring Canada’s leading authors artists musicians and activists to inspire the conversations we need to have as a country. Programming will be offered at a variety of venues and outdoor spaces on Laurier Avenue East from King Edward to Strathcona Park. The Board agrees that the best way to preserve the heritage buildings and character of the street is to animate them and give them contemporary uses.
