The Ontario Genealogical Society

Conducts annual conference seminars meetings and workshops- in physical meeting settings and/or on-line- to further the study of family history study recording historical cemeteries markers and transcribing and preserving genealogical information. Involved with heritage groups and ontario heritage alliance. Works with ontario archives and library & archives canada to preserve and make available for genealogical research family history records. Also works with municipal public libraries across ontario to make genealogical information available. Converting deteriorating microfilm files for on-line storage and access.
