The Olde Forge Community Resource Centre

Provides information resources & program activities to elderly members of the community. They also provide care & support to seniors & adults with disabilities. Services include: filling out seniors' tax returns holding workshops & training sessions offering low cost meeting room space & photocopying/faxing services. The centre provides transportation to medical appointments home help home repairs & maintenance snow clearing & grass cutting bi-weekly luncheons telephone assurance foot care grocery van & bus service respite care and adult day programs. The oasis senior supportive living inc. Program is designed to strengthen and sustain healthy communities of older adults by addressing important determinants of healthy aging such as isolation nutrition physical fitness and sense of purpose. It was developed as an innovative solution to support aging well at home.
