The Oakville Arts Council

The oac continues to disseminate information about the local arts and culture community to the public including a directory of artists and arts organizations and their events; we distribute information through our brochure rack and present an on-line store for artists to sell their work. We administered a cultural grants program on behalf of the town of oakville. We held workshops and networking sessions for members local artists and the public; maintained an on-line calendar of events and sat on a variety of municipal committees representing the arts and culture sector in oakville. We also deliver programs such as our oakville originals handmade market for local artists and we continue to develop our digital arts archive that will provide a safe and lasting home for the wide variety of artistic material produced by local artists. The archive will be accessible to the public and provide educational material for students.
