The Nova Voce Male Choral Society

The year started off with an offsite retreat to work on the reprtoier for the upcoming year.nova voce continued to provide music to the public starting off with joint chirstmas concert with the halifax boys honour choir hosted in halifax. Nova voce supported the halifax boy honour choir with purchasing hoodies and supplies for their involvement in countiuning to provide music around the province. As part of the 20the year celebrations. Nova voce joined with halifax gay men’s chour to celebrate music and te milestone anniversaries both choir had accomplished. The spring concert series saw nova voce and the truro contabile join forces to put on a joint concert in both truro and dartmouth. To change nova voce ‘s fundraising for the year it was decided to do an oline action in lieu of a spring gala. In addition nova voce was asked to contribute their musical talents for the order of st. George symposium held in halifax .to plan for the coming year is to start with the annual retreat offsite to plan and work on repertoire foe the season. The concerts will start with once again a joint concert with the halifax boys honour choir for the annual christmas concert. Nova voce will continue to support them as they bring their musical talents to the various communities throughout the province. Nova voce will also participate in nocturne an evening where the arts are on display to the public. The winter concert series will see concerts in both halifax abd lunenburg while the spring concert series will music for the pharmacy convention bein held in halifax this year. The plan is also to have another fundraising event however the details of how this will look is still under consideration.
