The Norm Foster Theatre Festival

Working with community partners the niagara children's centre the kristen french child advocacy centre of niagara and three chapters of the boys and girls club of niagara the norm foster theatre festival provided more than 60 hours of free drama enrihcment through weekly workshops aimed at regional children and youth. The festival also conducted monthly free seminars and discussion groups aimed at regional amateur theatre companies through their adult drama club in partnership with rodman hall art centre and local business mahtay café. During its summer season of performances over 1 200 complimentary tickets were distributed to the local population providing access to a live theatrical performance for free. In conjunction with founding sponsor meridan credit union two performances were offered in benefit of the niagara children's centre. The foster festival donated numerous ticket vouchers in support of charitable fundraisers including the south niagara falls women's shelter the rotary club rodman hall art centre carousel players and the theatre museum of canada.
