The National Shevchenko Musical Ensemble Guild of Canada

The guild maintains the shevchenko musical ensemble providing instruction in choral and orchestral disciplines. It provides professional artistic leadership rehearsal and theatre facilities free use of musical instrument costumes and musical arrangements. It presents amateur musicians in concert and features professional singers and musicians. The guild also offers free music lessons for youth and adults. The shevchenko musical ensemble continues to collaborate with other arts groups in diverse communities such as italian arabic chinese and others. The season included the presentation of peter and the wolf and thumbelina in collaboration with guest narrators. The choir participated in a choral concert with 8 other community choirs and the full ensemble presented its annual 'showcase' concert. It also continues to present free concerts for senior residences and long-term care facilities.
