Our core education programs have continued this past year and include the following: Grades 1-3: Anchors Aweigh Artefact Handling Armistice and Boats & Buoyancy. Grades 4-6: Artefact Handling Armistice Poppies and Porcupine Quills Posters and Propaganda Warriors of Old. Grades 7-9: Artefact Handling Armistice Shaping Our Nation: The War of 1812 Women in War Grades 10-12: Artefact Handling Armistice Canada and the Great War Canada and the Gold War Women in War Military Myth Building. In addition we have developed Cadet specific programs for Army Air and Sea Cadets. We also have specific programs for birthday parties Seniors groups and summer camps. This year we are continuing to develop STEM specific programs while enhancing our Seniors Programs and our Summer Camp Programming. The Cadet Programs continue to evolve and we continue to seek out meaningful ways of incorporating more diversity into our programming to coincide with Black History month for example. In fact the Foundation is working with the Calgary Black Chambers (CBC) to develop programs designed to inspire engage and educate the public on the contribution of BIPOC communities to Canada’s rich military history and heritage.
