The Mckay Cross Foundation

The purpose of the foundation is to receive and maintain a fund or funds to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom from time to time to charitable organizations that are also registered charities under the income tax act of canada. In 2024 the foundation began funding the mckay cross foundation award of $5000 each to 2 algonquin college students. Based on the recommendation of the dean or committee of school of wellness public safety financial need. One student from each of the following will be selected annually; - a student who is completing their first year of the profession and a passion for supporting people in the community through their work or volunteer time. -a student in who is completing their second year of the developmental services worker program who demonstrates a commitment to the profession and a passion for supporting people in the community through their work or volunteer time.
