The May Court Club of Oakville

The may court club of oakville is a volunteer women's organization that gives service to and raises funds for the community as well as fostering friendships amoung its members. The goal is to be a role model for volunteerism and community service. The organization has the following charitable purposes: 1. To relieve poverty by providing food and other basic necessities of life to individuals living in the halton region who are in need. 2. To advance education by providing scholarships bursaries and other forms of financial assistance for post-secondary education to graduates of halton high schools. 3. To address and prevent problems faced by children and youth in the halton region by providing mentoring programs and offering educational opportunities such as workshops and seminars dealing with current topics of concern such as bullying self-esteem and healthy relationships. 4. To promote health and wellbeing and reduce isolation of vulnerable populations such as seniors and those with mental health issues or physical disabilities in the halton region by providing outreach programs and friendly visiting programs in order to promote socialization and community engagement. 5. To receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom from time to time to charitable organizations in the halton region that are also registered charities under the income tax act (canada). 6. To do such further thins which are incidental to and in furtherance of the charitable undertakings of the corporation.
