The Legacy Children's Foundation - Alberta

1. Raise/acquire grant funds & other resources (musical instruments) to support foundation programs/activities. 2. Evaluate effectiveness of programs/activities 3. Conduct research associated with foundation programs/activities. 4. Provide one on one and internet based music lessons support and musical instruments (through our musical instrument bank) to high-risk youth whose situations fall within established criteria. 5. Coordinate musical instrument drives to support the musical instrument bank. 6. Provide community based music workshop experiences instrument repair training and other learning experiences related to potential music careers for youth taking part in our music programs. 7. Research and develop possible additional music program elements for high risk youth (i.e. Mentoring program scholarship program job shadowing). 8. Share foundation program & activity learnings with other organizations. 9. Offer a music industry arts entrepreneurial training/long-term mentorship program to support interested homeless youth & youth aging out of care 16-24 years of age and to introduce them to the world of 'music industry arts' and the numerous opportunities that exist. 10. Provide online storefronts for indigenous artisans to be able to sell their art worldwide. 11. Create a national mental health program for youth experiencing the negative effects of the covid pandemic. 12. Build an off reserve program for indigenous youth focusing on financial literacy (created in their own language) and youth entrepreneurial training that will be largely arts focused.
