To receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom from time to time to institutions which are also canadian registered charities under the income tax act (canada) and which carry on charitable purposes as defined by common law and enunciated by the courts including without limitation those that advance religion by teaching the religious tenets doctrines observances beliefs and practices associated with the jewish faith those that promote the advancement of education by providing teaching of community issues or give scholarships and other assistance to young people and those that promote health by providing research into causes and treatment of serious diseases.
