About The Jellyfish Project Society

In The Schools Deliver presentations and workshops to elementary middle and high schools students in Canada to educate youth on environmental stewardship ocean sustainability and climate change. The presentations regularly include live musical performance as well as impactful slideshows that present an informative portrayal of our current ecological crisis alongside inspiring stories of effective tangible solutions. Each presentation includes an interactive discussion component and is supported by resources (reading list video/film lists websites lessons and activities etc.) shared with students and teachers before and after each presentation. Workshops cover a wide range of environmental issues and are aimed at improving the capacity of youth and the general public to discuss and take effective action as environmental stewards. For example this year we are piloting a Youth Climate Cafes workshop series. Active Hope Presenting stories of success and inspiration to support and encourage youth climate and environmental action to restore our environment. Including: - producing a series of short videos to profile climate/environmental champions and their activities. These videos and supporting content (including project details and 'how you can help') will be featured on our website in our school presentations and online through our social media platforms. - inviting youth to upload their own short video stories of success to our social media platforms - we expect to launch this in late 2025 (delayed due to funding shortage). - hosting events featuring interviews and panel discussions with climate/environment champions of all ages and including time for audience interaction with question and answer periods and discussion.
